    CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A man died early Friday after being hit by a van on Cleveland's East Side, police said. The crash happened about 7 a.m. Friday on Miles Avenue near East 135th Street, police said. The man was walking across Miles Avenue when he was hit by a 2014 Nissan van that was driving eastbound, police said. His name will be released by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner after his family is notified.  The 42-year-old driver stopped at the scene. He was not arrested and is not suspecte..
